Plant Optimisation Training

The training is delivered by Angela Cronjé, director of ROOTS Organics Ltd, an independent consultancy providing technical support and advice on the recycling of organics. Angela is a chemical engineer who has worked in the waste industry for 15 years and set up ROOTS with Sarah Manwaring in 2015.  They work with investors, composting and AD operators, farmers and end users of compost and digestate products.

10:30   1. Optimisation: What is it? The fundamentals

11:00   2. Biology basics: Principals and key reactions in AD

11:30   3. Biology health: Indicators of a healthy system

12:00  Lunch (Provide: please tell us of any dietary needs)

12:45   4. Process metrics: Data collection and analysis

13:30   5. Troubleshooting: When it goes wrong, what to do?

14:30  Coffee break with networking

15:00  6. Process design: Get it right from the start.

15:30  Discussion: Open session

16:00  The site visit to Singleton Birch AD plant is now postponed.

THIS EVENT IS NOW BEING DELIVERED ONLINE. The agenda will be modified to include regular, short breaks.

Due to the Coronavirus situation, ADBA will deliver this event via video conferencing, using Zoom. Attendees will be sent a link and need only click the link and follow on screen instructions.
