ADBA Spring Members’ Meeting 2019

2nd April 2019 @ 12:30 pm - 7:00 pm

Free
Our upcoming Member Meeting comes at a crucial time for our industry with the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) consulting on mandating separate food waste collections for all households in England, with the meeting providing opportunity to shape our response. Currently, only 51% of local authorities in England collect food waste separately from residual waste, with the government proposals potentially diverting to AD up to 1.5 million tonnes of food waste currently going to landfill, where it releases greenhouse gases. Join us on the 2nd April to discuss the Defra’s proposals for food waste collections, for case studies from local authorities, and to debate our response to the consultation.
