Are you fully aware of key legal aspects of Health & Safety affecting your plant?
Delivered by Gavin Dearsley, this will be practical and interactive training, aimed at all operator staff and those with AD plant interactions.
Gavin has more than 20 years’ experience in a variety of areas including risk management, health and safety, fire safety, facilities and environmental management. He has 8 years experience of assessing and monitoring safety at AD plants in particular and currently looks after around 20 plants in the UK. Gavin has been delivering this course for 7 years.
The training looks at all aspects of plant safety, from the environment and processes to working conditions, safety equipment and operational practices. It will leave you fully conversant with all key Health & Safety issues at AD plants, requirements and procedures and provide an extensive overview of all:
Relevant legislation & regulations; Hazards & risk assessment; Machinery hazards; Noise & vibration issues; Electrical safety; Transport safety; People on site -visitors and staff; Necessary paperwork systems and procedures.
This training will ease understanding of the requirements of the various paperwork systems and procedures and help ensure improved ownership of site HSE issues.
A course certificate will be issued after completion of the training.

Dangers of working in AD; Legislation; Risk Assessments; Method Statements; Emergency Planning; Accident Reporting and Investigation; Safety Signs and Notices
Hazardous / Dangerous Substances:
Classification; Health Effects; Safety Data Sheets; COSHH Assessment; Product Labels; DSEAR; ATEX Equipment and EX zoning plans
Machinery & Equipment:
Machinery Hazards; Case Studies – Machinery and Process Equipment; Lifting Equipment; Pressure Systems; Noise and Vibrations
1.00 pm Lunch (provided -please inform us of your dietary requirements)
